Esther Hwang (she/her) was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She found her love for Theatre and Stage Management while attending Episcopal High School (Alexandria, VA).

Currently, she is a student at the University of Michigan pursuing a BFA in Theatre Design & Production with a concentration in Stage Management. Esther is expected to graduate in April 2026.

Esther has a wide range of stage management experiences, spanning from various larger-scale mainstage musicals, opera, and student productions as an ASM, musical new work workshops, working on various Shakespeare productions in Prague including some at the Estates Theatre at the National Theatre Czechia.

Esther interned at the Round House Theatre (Bethesda, MD) as stage management and lighting intern, and now works as an on-call electrician. She also works at the University Production Office as an Office assistant. She has experience in set design and lighting design.
